UK Clinics Collaborate for Series of Nationwide Events to Celebrate and Discuss Medical Cannabis in the UK.
In celebration of the 6th anniversary of the 2018 law change that enabled the prescribing of cannabis medicines in the UK, a series of informative public events will take place this November, hosted by a cohort of the UK’s foremost cannabis-prescribing clinics.Part of Medical Cannabis Awareness Week (MCAW). These events aim to engage with the public, patients, and the wider community, shedding light on the UK’s medical cannabis prescription system and the potential benefits of cannabis-based treatments.
“An Evening About Medical Cannabis” will be held in three key cities— Edinburgh (5th November), London (6th November) and Cardiff (7th November).
Each event will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from prescribing doctors, patients currently taking medical cannabis, and industry professionals, helping you gain practical knowledge about the UK medical cannabis system and a deeper understanding of the ways in which it’s prescribed.

– Edinburgh: 5th November 2024
Hosted by licensed importers 4CLABS, MaMedica and Integro.
This event will feature distinguished speakers including Professor Dr. Anna Ross, Co- Convener of the Drugs Research Network Scotland (DRNS) and Secretary to the Scottish Cross Party on Medicinal Cannabis, and Robert Jappie, a regulatory specialist lawyer with expertise in medical cannabis. In addition, clinicians and currently prescribed patients from Mamedica Clinic will share their experiences as doctor and patient as well as experienced cannabis clinician Nurse James Gunn of Integro Medical Clinics.
Our aim is to create meaningful discussion, increasing knowledge and awareness.

Hosted by Integro Medical Clinics and Alternaleaf, this event will feature talks from prominent cannabis-prescribing medical professionals, including Dr. Sunny Nayee, a pain specialist, and Dr. Anup Mathews , a psychiatrist, alongside special guest Big Narstie, UK rapper and celebrity, who will share his personal experience as a cannabis patient alongside other patient panelist speakers.

Hosted by Cannabis Clinic Cardiff, November 7th event in Cardiff Bay will bring an insight into the world of medical cannabis with a mental health focus.
Informative talks led by Dr Dave Howells, a leading medical cannabis prescriber and psychiatrist, discussing the phenomenal life changing effect medical cannabis has had on his patients. Accompanying him on the panel, industry experts and patients will share knowledge, experiences and personal journeys.
Js MediVape Lounge will be a special guest showcasing a selection of dry herb vaporisers, sharing information on equipment and real life demonstrations.

These events aim to address any questions the public may have about the application, safety, and availability of cannabis-based medicines.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along friends and family, especially those who may be skeptical, to gain insight from both medical experts and patients.
With an increasing number of people finding relief through these treatments – est 50k patients in the UK – the goal is to broaden understanding and encourage open and genuine conversations about cannabis as a medicine, here in the UK.
