The Canada Cannabis Spot Index was assessed this week at C$6.08 per gram, up 0.4% from last week’s C$6.05 per gram. This week’s price equates to US$2,145 per pound at the current exchange rate.
Statistics Canada recently released legal cannabis sales data for October 2020, which shows that the trend of steadily-increasing national sales totals continued. October sales totaled C$270M, up C$13M from the month prior and up C$140M compared to October 2019. October’s revenue figures point to an annual run rate of C$3.2B.
On average, daily sales were higher in October in every province except British Columbia. Continuing a recent trend, Ontario led all provinces in growth in average daily sales in October with an increase of 4.1% from the previous month.
