Cannabis Health Symposium

Cannabis Health, the UK’s leading medical cannabis news and education platform, has announced the launch of two autumn events designed for healthcare professionals, prescribers, and industry operators working at the frontline of medical cannabis practice across Europe.

The series opens on 4 November at Mainhaus, Frankfurt, and closes on 26 November at Conway Hall, London. Following the success of Cannabis Health‘s inaugural London event last year, this year will expand on it goal of providing all the information a prescriber will need to practise confidently in their specific market.

As such, the Frankfurt and London programmes carry distinct agendas shaped by the regulatory and clinical context each audience is working within.

Frankfurt, 4 November

The Frankfurt Symposium opens with a morning session on Germany’s medical cannabis framework, covering patient access rights, reimbursement within the statutory health insurance system, and the expanding responsibilities of pharmacists as prescription volumes grow.

Practical guidance on driving regulations, workplace rights, and employment protections, all among the least-addressed areas for German prescribers, will also feature.

The afternoon turns to clinical science. A session on cannabinoids and chronic pain will cover the first European market authorisation for a cannabinoid-based medicine for chronic lower back pain, a development with direct implications for prescribing practice across the continent, alongside sessions on safe prescribing across multiple indications.

London, 26 November

EVENTS Cannabis Health Symposium: London Evidence-based education for clinicians, prescribers and the wider medical cannabis community.

The London programme opens with a regulatory morning covering MHRA developments, CQC compliance, NHS prescribing pathways, and patient rights including workplace and legal protections. The timing matters: the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs is expected to review the UK’s medical cannabis framework in 2026 or 2027, with telemedicine prescribing practices likely to be a focal point. Prescribers operating in the private clinic sector will want to be across the regulatory direction of travel before that process concludes.

The afternoon focuses on therapeutic applications across psychiatry, palliative care, neurodivergent presentations including ADHD and autism, women’s health, and the current state of clinical trials in the UK.
