On August 18, along with Torkin Manes LLP, Business of Cannabis presented the online event, “Canadian Cannabis: What’s Next?”
The largest cannabis producers in Canada are represented by the Cannabis Council of Canada. The Cannabis Council of Canada’s CEO George Smitherman joined the event to talk about how he views the sector right now and how the sector is viewed among government leaders in Ottawa. In the build up to a federal election, Smitherman provided an overview of the importance of discussing the economic and social benefits of legalization with elected officials and regulators.
