The Cannabis Growers’ Showcase (CGS) initiative will be hosted in New Paltz every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, where New Yorkers will be able to meet New YorK cannabis cultivators and processors.

The GCS is a first-in-the-nation initiative to allow licensed sales outside of dispensaries which is aiming to super charge the New York cannabis retail market.
The initiative enables cannabis cultivators to partner with conditional adult-use retailers and processors in the state to organise events to sell adult-use products, helping farmers that are currently stuck with surplus stock to sell their crop.

It will also enable customers to have legal access to cannabis in parts of the state that currently do not have dispensaries.
Applications for the markets are open, with Licensed Adult-Use Conditional Cultivators (AUCC), Adult-Use Conditional Processors (AUCP), and Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) Licensees all eligible to apply to become a CGS Organizer.
The OCM stated: “The CGS initiative marks an important milestone in New York’s cannabis industry, fostering collaboration and allowing licensed cultivators to engage directly with consumers.
“The Office is committed to ensuring that all CGS events are held in accordance with the approved guidelines, promoting transparency, safety, and an enhanced consumer experience.”
The state also recently significantly expanded the number of CAURD licenses to increase the rate at which retail locations will open.
