Amazon’s CBD pilot sees further listings

Home » Amazon’s CBD pilot sees further listings

Blessed CBD has begun selling its premium hemp-derived CBD products on Amazon in the UK.

A range of Blessed CBD products, including gummies, capsules, and balms will now be available on Amazon UK, with more of its products to be listed in the coming days.

Amazon, which has expressed its support for cannabis legalisation in the US, last year began a pilot to sell CBD products in the UK. Blessed was invited by Amazon to join the pilot after it was included on the Food Standards Agency’s public list of CBD products which it deems as credible applications.

Products that are included on the list have provided sufficient toxicology data, meaning the FSA believes these products could be safe for human consumption. These applications are currently progressing towards final authorisation for legal sale in the UK, with the final list expected to be published by 2023.

All CBD products included in Amazon’s pilot must also pass compliance checks conducted by Amazon.

President and CEO of High Tide, Raj Grover, commented: “The listing of Blessed CBD products on Amazon UK represents a fantastic growth opportunity for Blessed and High Tide.

“Amazon is unmatched as a global online marketplace, and by joining their platform in the UK, we are broadening Blessed’s reach and making our products accessible for many more consumers.

“Today’s announcement is another example of the strength of High Tide’s diversified international cannabis ecosystem, as we are able to keep growing our presence and customer bases even in jurisdictions where cannabis is not yet legal.

“As we further execute on our international strategy, we will continue to explore new and innovative distribution channels for our products, as well as additional markets where we can expand into through our existing and rapidly-expanding ancillary cannabis brand portfolio.”

Canadian-based High Tide entered the UK CBD market in October 2021 with the acquisition of Blessed CBD to solidify itself as a major player within the global e-commerce marketplace for hemp-derived CBD products.
