Technical 420 believes Federal reform is the biggest potential catalyst for the cannabis sector.
The three undervalued companies include:
- Body and Mind Inc.
- Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp.
- Cresco Labs Inc.
Why SNDL, Aurora Cannabis, and Tilray stocks popped today
The Motley Fool reports that Investors in marijuana stocks such as SNDL (SNDL -3.77%), Aurora Cannabis (ACB -6.20%), and Tilray (TLRY -4.48%), had a good day on Thursday.
This was impacted not only by the Federal Reserve deciding to only raise interest rates 0.25%, but also by the publication of a new report by the American Medical Association (AMA) that argues medical cannabis may be at least part of the solution to solving America’s opioid crisis.
However, the publication highlights that despite this positive news, full-scale, federal legalisation is still “the sine qua non for growing this market significantly”.
Missouri adult-use cannabis sales and home cultivation application process launch ahead of schedule
Missouri officials have cleared the first dispensaries to start selling cannabis to adult consumers — three days ahead of schedule, reports Marijuana Moment.
So far, the state Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has approved 335 facilities to begin adult-use cannabis operations.
Additionally, regulators started accepting applications for adults to grow their own cannabis, as Missouri’s voter-approved cannabis law, which took effect in December, requires adults 21 and older to apply for approval to lawfully cultivate their own plants.
“Our team will begin approving facility requests for comprehensive (medical + adult-use) operations starting tomorrow, Feb. 3, 2023, as emergency rules go into effect. Marijuana will be available for purchase by adult-use consumers as soon as those facilities are ready to operate under their new authority,” stated the DHSS.
