Greencare has appointed Monica Formenti to its board as a non-executive director.
Investment company focused on investing in medicinal cannabis, CBD and related wellness areas, Greencare, has announced the appointment of Formenti to its board, who qualified as a Lawyer in 2009 in Milan, Italy, and has practiced corporate and commercial law for a number of multi-national organisations.
She is currently a director of an international corporate advisory firm in Milan, providing wide-ranging advice on all legal matters relating to corporate and civil law, including corporate governance, commercial agreements, M&A and corporate finance.
Commenting on the appointment, Greencare CEO, Richard Tonthat, said: “I am delighted to welcome Monica to the Greencare Board.
“We operate in a heavily regulated sector and market, and so Monica’s extensive cross-border corporate and commercial legal advisory experience, particularly as a legal compliance expert, will be of great value as we continue to build our investment portfolio.”
Formenti worked for 11 years at PPG Industries Inc based in Milan, part of a multinational organisation operating in the chemicals industry as Head of its Legal Department. This included dealing with all legal and corporate/compliance issues, commercial contracts and other regulatory matters including the management of shareholder meetings.
