UK CBD brand Love Hemp makes pair of senior appointments

CBD company Love Hemp Group has made a pair of senior appointments.

The UK-based wellness brand has poached two executives – Stephen White and Steve Horan – from high street retailer JD Sports.

In a statement, the company said the appointments would assist their strategy of becoming ‘a globally recognised brand’.

White and Horan worked in senior roles for the sports company for a combined 39 years and were part of the team when it was promoted to the FTSE 100 in 2019.

White will take up the role of chief marketing office and Horan will work as head of marketing.

Love Hemp is yet to have its products validated under the ongoing Food Standards Agency novel foods process.

Tony Calamita, CEO of Love Hemp Group commented: “I am delighted to have Stephen and Steve on board and look forward to utilising their wealth of knowledge and experience to support the future growth of the Love Hemp brand.

“The expertise provided by our recent hires is of a calibre that will provide the Company with the much-needed support to grow and develop our impressive brand.

“As recent announcements, including the UFC partnership, have demonstrated, we are starting to position Love Hemp as a global brand, and I have no doubt that Stephen and Steve will be invaluable as we work towards an international business profile.”
