1. ‘Food Standards Agency answers key CBD questions after 48 hours of confusion
The Food Standards Agency has moved to address concerns about the novel foods regulations roll out after 48 hours of confusion in the industry.
Officials working for the regulator are sifting through more than 750 applications made before the March 31 deadline that was set ahead of the imposition of new rules on the sector.
On April 19, the FSA published the first public register of products which have been ‘validated’ and given the green light to remain on UK shelves pending full authorisation – but just 23 products from three firms were included.

2. ‘Appalled’: Chanelle McCoy of Pureis CBD pulls no punches on state of industry’
One of the first and only businesses so far to get validation is Pureis CBD, which got on early and is reaping the rewards.

6. ‘Dad-of-three says cannabis helped him beat terminal cancer’
After being diagnosed with terminal cancer, Scott Davis started taking cannabis oil. Despite being given 12 to 18 months to live, two-and-a-half years later the tumour has “disappeared”.
In the summer of 2018 at the age of 38, Scott Davis started experiencing stomach cramps and loss of appetite. When he started losing weight without explanation, he decided to visit his doctor.
