B3 Labs has appointed manufacturing and finance specialist Deepak Azhagar as chief operating officer (COO) as the company looks to drive forward ambitious growth plans.
In his new role, B3 Labs has stated that Azhagar will manage day-to-day business activities, ensuring all operations are in line with the business’ growth plan, whilst taking full responsibility for outbound product delivery.
He will also work alongside the technology and production teams to develop software and automation tools to drive improvements in process efficiency.

CEO at B3 Labs, Marc Burbidge, commented: “Deepak’s broad experience across the manufacturing industry is a welcome addition to the senior team as we eye further expansion across Europe following our Novel Foods accreditation. We’re delighted that Deepak is joining B3 Labs.”
Azhagar added: “B3’s rapid growth over the last few years was a major attraction of the role. I’m hopeful that my own experience and knowledge can add value to what is an incredibly ambitious team, in a fast-developing sector.”
Prior to joining B3, Azhagar was functional head at Wheels India Ltd, and was also assistant manager at BEML ltd, delivering Bangalore’s ambitious Metro line project.

Azhagar holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Cranfield School of Management, as well as a MicroMasters in Supply Chain Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In the role, Azhagar will work closely with Sana Life Science’s CEO, Ben Hamburger, and COO, Arjun Rajyagor. Sana Life Sciences acquired B3 Labs on 7 June, 2022.
The news follows the Manchester-based company’s announcement that it has had 525 certified products included on the Food Standards Agency’s (FSA) list of CBD linked to credible applications.
