Some tough news…
If you’re wondering how American cannabis companies might be able to seek bankruptcy protection for a business that is not federally legal – you’re in good company. Maybe look to Canada?
The big news of the week was the Aurora cut 500 jobs and Terry Booth (of #MJBIzCon2018 fame) stepped down.
HEXO also lost a director this week. Rounding out a string of bad news for HEXO (see Medipharm Labs).
Not to be left out of the fray: Tilray cut staff. 10 percent, to be exact.
Some good news…
If pubcos have you feeling down, here’s some good news: consumers in Illinois really like cannabis. $40 million of cannabis purchased in the first month of legalization this past January.
And some advice…
For those that are looking to be successful in the cannabis sector, Stoic Advisors Aaron Salz has some advice for you – care of MJ Business Daily. (Or, watch him on his 2019 appearance on BofC Live…)
