Love Hemp has taken first place for its CBD products in this year’s Beauty Shortlist Awards.

The company took four prizes at the awards for 2022. The brand’s 300mg CBD Capsules were named Best CBD Capsules. Additionally, its 600mg medium 2 per cent CBD Oil Drops, 1,200mg 4 per cent CBD Oil Drops and  CBD Infused Body Salve 300mg all won Editor’s Choice awards.

CEO and co-founder of Love Hemp Group, Tony Calamita, commented: “We’re delighted that a number of our products have been recognised in this year’s Beauty Shortlist Awards.”

Founder of The Beauty Shortlist Awards, Fiona Klonarides, added: “The Beauty Shortlist Awards provide a level playing field to global brands and smaller artisan brands alike, celebrating the brightest new beauty and natural health launches alongside already very well-established brands and products.”

The wins follow the company’s recent award for ‘Leading CBD Brand of the Year – UK 2021’ in the Commercial Cannabis Awards by Global Health and Pharma.

The company has made a number of developments over the last year with the recent announcement that its products will be listed on eBay’s new invite-only CBD pilot and the expansion of its Deliveroo CBD delivery scheme from London into Manchester.

Earlier this year in February, Love Hemp also announced the success of its oversubscribed £2m fundraising round, funds from which will go towards general working capital purposes and streamlining the business through various initiatives.

In 2021 the company saw a gross profit of £1.25m with a cash balance of £0.925m following significant market investment, and the same year it secured a three-year endorsement agreement with two-time Heavyweight Champion of the World and Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua OBE.

Under the endorsement agreement Joshua became a shareholder and spearheaded the company’s national campaign which featured across national media channels including ITV, All 4 and Sky, The Metro, and on outdoor advertising formats in London, Manchester, Liverpool, and the Northeast.
