A start-up CBD beer brand has raised over £200,000 in 24 hours via online crowdfunding.
Cannabrew, a company which makes craft beers infused with CBD, is the brainchild of Elliot Horner and until this week the team consisted solely of him.
But now over 200 people have a stake in the company after a surge of interest on the investment platform Seedrs.
Horner, who is a semi-professional rugby player, founded the company after turning to CBD to deal with aches and pains from playing sport.
The product – which is also billed as vegan and environmentally sustainable – is pitched at the growing consumer CBD market and the UK’s blossoming craft beer scene.

Horner told Cannabis Wealth: “I am absolutely blown away by the success of our recent campaign, I have always believed in myself and had absolute faith in the company but to fund over £200,000 and see the team increase from one to over 200 in under 24 hours is just incredible.
“Despite little backing, we have already achieved so much in such a short space of time.
“Now we have the capital to grow, and I am so excited for what the future holds within this company.
“It feels as though we haven’t even touched the surface, and I can’t wait to explore the next steps.”
The company produces three drinks at present: a session IPA and larger – fused with a 12mg dose of CBD – and a cider contain a 15mg dose.
