    Cannabis Sales Hit Record Highs in Connecticut and Arkansas

    June 2023 saw Connecticut and Arkansas hit record highs for its cannabis sales.

    In Connecticut, medical and recreational cannabis sales hit almost $24 million – and the month also saw adult use sales higher than medical sales. The adult-use market in saw $12.5 million in cannabis sales following the launch of adult use sales on January 10, 2023, and $11.3 million in medical.

    According to KNWA, Arkansas patients also spent USD$141 million in June – a new record for the state.

    In a statement, Arkansas’ Department of Finance and Administration spokesperson Scott Hardin stated: “With a sales average of $23.5 million monthly, we should surpass $1 billion in overall sales toward the end of this year.”

    The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection has also confirmed that the average product price for medical marijuana patients was $37.43 in June, while the average price of adult-use products was $40.00.

    The Department also released new data containing additional information about the types of products sold by dollar amount, showing that, in the first six months of sales, 53% of sales were usable cannabis, or flower, while vapes made up 25% of sales and edible products represented 10% of sales.
