Medical cannabis sales in Arkansas have grown to $234m in the year to the end of October, 2023, seeing the state remain on track to break sales records this year.
According to a new report from the state’s Department of Finance and Administration, this represented a total of 50,406 pounds of medical cannabis sold via 38 dispensaries so far this year.
Patients purchased 5427 pounds of product in October for total revenues of $22.5m, down slightly from the $23.3m worth of medical cannabis sold in August and $23.2m in September.
These sales generated $25.9m in tax revenues so far this year, bringing the total taxes collected since it was legalised in 2019 to $115.4m.
Meanwhile, patient numbers as of October 2023 were 97,646, the DFA said, up from 89,855 a year earlier.

Hot Springs-based dispensary Suite 443 sold the most medical cannabis (505 pounds) last month, followed by Sherwood’s Natural Relief dispensary (429 pounds).
