Cannabis technology company GrowerIQ has secured CAD $1,080,000 in funding from the Government of Canada.
The funding was provided through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).
The company has confirmed the funds will be used to further enhance GrowerIQ’s comprehensive cannabis tracking system and solidify its position as a global leader in the industry.
CEO of GrowerIQ, Andrew Wilson, commented: “We are thrilled to have secured this funding to accelerate our mission of transforming the cannabis industry.
“This investment will allow us to further develop our cutting-edge technology and expand our global footprint. We are committed to providing cannabis producers with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive market.”
The funding adds to GrowerIQ’s total investment to date, including its previously oversubscribed seed funding round, and the company has also recently entered into an exclusive contract with the Government of Barbados to manage all cannabis production on the island.
