BusinessCann Jobs Launches Today As The Go-To Platform For Europe’s Rapidly-Growing Cannabis Industry

BUSINESSCANN is pleased to announce the launch of our new jobs portal – a trusted recruitment platform for the European cannabis industry.

It is the ideal destination for businesses looking for new staff, those looking for their next move and those looking to join one of the planet’s fastest-growing industries.

Almost 350,000 people work in the American cannabis industry with over 20% of those joining in the last 12 months, as it, and neighbours Canada lead the global rout of the pernicious prohibition era.

Here in Europe, we have some way to go to match those numbers.

A Variety Of Occupations

But, with the CBD industry now valued at over £1bn, the medical cannabis and hemp industries gathering momentum and adult-use legislation making headway in numerous European jurisdictions the potential is huge.

Employment opportunities in the cannabis industry cover a huge variety of occupations, skills and professions.

These can range from the plant-touching cultivation roles to research, lab technicians, quality control, medical professionals, education, administration, advocacy,  IT, insurance, sales and marketing.

Then there are the professional services such as, banking, law, accountancy, and regulations, as well as ancillary services, such as logistics.

Peter McCusker, Founder and Editor of BusinessCann, says he is delighted to unveil this new platform for Europe’s leading B2B cannabis publication.

“At BusinessCann our aim is to support the growth of the European cannabis industry and the launch of our new jobs portal is designed to do that in a cost-effective way for businesses.

“In the 18 months since our launch we have seen the industry make huge strides and as it continues to grow the need to find smart, creative, ambitious and hard-working employees becomes increasingly important.

BusinessCann Jobs is the ideal platform for all employers and job hunters operating in, or with a keen eye on, the European industry.”

Cannabis Is Attracting The Best Talent

Prohibition Partners’ European Cannabis Report – Sixth Edition – estimates the continent’s medical cannabis market will be worth €3.2bn by 2025 – a development which will lead to the creation of tens of thousands of new jobs.

There is also the potential of the adult-use market to factor into these employment projections. This is no longer wishful thinking; over the last 12 months Spain, Portugal, Finland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, and Malta have all openly discussed such a development at a policy-making level.

Meanwhile the UK’s Cannabis Industry Council estimates a thriving UK medical cannabis sector could employ almost 100,000 people, within just a few years.

Stephen Murphy, CEO and Co-Founder of Prohibition Partners, the parent company of BusinessCann, said: “The emergence of cannabis as a rewarding career has been vividly demonstrated by events in North America in recent years.

‘While we see the European market developing with more a medical focus than the North American market one thing is becoming abundantly clear.

“Cannabis is now seen as a credible employment opportunity, one that is attracting the very best talent – serious talent would most likely have shunned the sector, even just a few years ago.”

BusinessCann is the trusted source of daily news, comment, analysis and information on the European cannabis industry and our new Jobs platform aims to support the industry by promoting employment opportunities on Europe’s largest cannabis news platform.
