Brett Chang joins Jay Rosenthal for BofC Live to discuss the ongoing effort in New Zealand to legalize cannabis, including an upcoming, nationwide referendum vote in September.
So the polls go up and down. But, consistently over the past three months we’ve seen support for the initiative growing and so right now, as of the latest poll, which I think was about a week ago, the “yes” vote is five points ahead of the “no” vote. One of the reasons – funny enough – is that American anti-cannabis groups have begun to flood the airwaves in New Zealand and they don’t like that. – Brett Chang
