Will NFTs shape the future of cannabis events?

    By

A US-based cannabis events firm is harnessing the metaverse and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to build its global audiences.

Holders of an NFT from a Californian events company, Secret Sesh will receive digital and real-world access to events via a lifetime membership. They also receive discounts on certain branded products.

The move, plus its focus on the metaverse, is part of a strategy to open up its US events to the world.

CEO Tim Brown said: “We’re building out our own world, and without a VR headset, people will be able to walk around, have conversations, and have a digital experience similar to the real world Secret Sesh. 10-20 years from now, real events might be very different.

“We want to be at the forefront. Creating digital spaces and accepting crypto as payment from sponsors is going to allow us to grow in the development of Web3.0”, CEO Tim Brown said.

Secret Sesh NFTs also feature play-to-earn games and allow entrance into digital spaces.
