Celebrating 50 years of hip hop culture, Santa Cruz Shredder (SCS) has launched a collaboration with lifestyle brand Frank White – founded by son of Biggie Smalls, Christopher “CJ” Wallace, Willie Mack and Todd Russaw.
SCS has established itself as an iconic cannabis brand, setting an industry standard for dry herb grinders.
The SCS x FW collab pays homage to the SCS legacy, launching new, limited edition grinders and accessories that “serve as a reminder of the timeless appeal and enduring value of traditional accessories.”
Speaking to Forbes, Wallace remarked: “I have been a huge fan of Santa Cruz since I started using their grinders about 10 years ago… Having Frank White be part of the work Matt and Berner are doing to create the best grinders in the world just made sense as part of our celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop.”
SCS – which has also collaborated with rapper Wiz Khalifa on hemp accessories – saw rapper and Cookies co-founder Berner, who has introduced world-renowned cannabis strains such as Girl Scout Cookies and Runtz to the industry, invest in the brand in 2017.
SCS grinders use a patented tooth design and medical-grade anodized aluminium, and the SCS x FW collab continues to champion this superior product quality, featuring two four-piece black grinders – including a grinder compartment, herb capture compartment, crystal catcher, and a herb storage compartment – with laser engravings.
