Botanical Sciences has announced that its cannabis products will be the first to be dispensed through pharmacies in Georgia.

The development marks the first-ever sales of medical cannabis in pharmacies.

The company has confirmed that three pharmacies will now begin dispensing Botanical Sciences’ cannabis medicine.

Gary Long, CEO of Botanical Sciences, stated: “It’s an honour to be a part of this historic moment in Georgia’s healthcare landscape, being the first to dispense medical cannabis at independent pharmacies in the country.

“Our mission at Botanical Sciences is to provide patients with the long-anticipated hope and relief they deserve. We firmly believe in the trust and professionalism pharmacists provide to patients at this pivotal point in our state’s adoption of medical cannabis.”

The news follows Botanical Sciences’ announcement earlier this month that its partnership with over 130 exclusive, independent pharmacies throughout the state will be dispensing medical cannabis to patients.

The company has said that through this expansion, patients who have received a recommendation from their physician and obtained their medical cannabis card will have greater access to this critical medicine.
