Jonathan Zaid, Founder and Executive Director of Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana joined us for a Week in Review segment. This week saw the Federal Budget drop – and much to the dismay and disappointment to the medical cannabis community, medicine for them is still slated to be taxed – and then taxed again with an excise tax. CFAMM’s #DontTaxMedicine initiative has already sent thousands of letters to Parliament, with many more thousands expected soon as a result of the latest budget announcement. Jonathan represents tens of thousands of patients in Canada and we wanted his week-end perspective on the issue and his path forward.
