Dr Julian Wichmann

Dr. Julian Wichmann is a physician and CEO of Bloomwell GmbH, based in Frankfurt, as well as co-founder of Bloomwell Group GmbH. Since its foundation in 2020, Bloomwell has grown into the largest central platform for medical cannabis in Europe and has digitised the entire process to ensure efficient and reliable medical cannabis therapy. In addition, through data-driven research activities based on real-world data, the company continuously contributes to the destigmatisation of cannabis in medicine. Today, Bloomwell provides a central digital infrastructure to cannabis patients in the six-digit range, pharmacies, physicians, and wholesalers every month. Upon request, patients can receive an individualized electronic prescription via the platform, securely digitally signed by a treating physician using a proprietary signature platform Bloomwell developed with a federal entity. Prior to co-founding Bloomwell Group, Julian worked for six years in academic medicine as a radiologist and emergency physician, with a particular focus on pain patients. As an established researcher with more than 150 scientific publications, he advocates for evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of patients with medical cannabis.
