In September 2019, the Business of Cannabis launched a new event series – Cannabis + Technology. The first event followed the cannabis supply chain from grow-tech to patient- and consumer-facing technology. It drew a unique cross-section of cannabis industry professionals, technology industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and innovators.
Building on the success of the first event in 2019, we are proud to launch a new event that will be focused specifically on retail technology in the cannabis industry:
Cannabis + Technology | Retail Tech presented by LeafLink will be hosted on April 16, 2020 in Toronto.
As we know, there is a once-an-industry ramp up of cannabis retail that will see Canada move from a nation with 500 retailers – with a vast majority of those in Alberta – to a more evenly distributed 2,000 retailers nationwide, with the largest concentration in Ontario.
Business of Cannabis is providing a platform for current and would-be retailers – and the industry overall – to understand the core technology products and services that are driving compliance and operational excellence in the retail cannabis space. Which is why we are excited to have LeafLink on board as the presenting partner for this event.
Look for more announcements about partners and program in the coming days. The program will explore physical and digital security, decision-making with data, inventory management, the tech of marketing, compliance through tech, consumer and employee education and much more. In addition to LeafLink, we are excited to have an initial group of partners for the event program, including Greenline POS, Merrco and Verda Innovations as well as confirmed participation from the Ontario Cannabis Store.
