High Tide Inc. (Nasdaq: HITI) has opened its first international Canna Cabana store in Berlin, Germany, marking the cannabis retailer’s initial brick-and-mortar expansion outside North America.
The location at Alte Schönhauser Str. 2 in the Berlin-Mitte district sells cannabis accessories and lifestyle products rather than cannabis itself, reflecting Germany’s current regulatory framework. The store is situated near Alexanderplatz in central Berlin.
The opening follows High Tide’s acquisition of Remexian Pharma GmbH, a German medical cannabis importer and distributor. High Tide characterized the Berlin store as the first step in a broader European retail strategy encompassing physical stores, e-commerce, and medical cannabis distribution.

CEO Raj Grover said the company is following the same approach it used in Canada, where it established an accessories retail presence before transitioning to cannabis sales after legalisation.
“Canna Cabana’s potential extends far beyond Canada, and this Berlin opening is the first step in unlocking that global opportunity.
“As cannabis usage continues to accelerate, so too will demand for Canna Cabana’s cutting-edge consumption accessories.”
“This bricks-and-mortar launch demonstrates our commitment to Germany for the long haul. We are closely following legislative and regulatory developments, and as Germany moves toward broader liberalisation, Canna Cabana will have a meaningful head start.
“This is exactly how we built Canada’s largest cannabis retailer—by establishing a loyal accessories following first, then seamlessly transitioning those customers into cannabis retail when the timing is right. Now, we’re bringing that same winning formula to Europe.”
According to government data cited by High Tide, German medical cannabis imports exceeded 143 tonnes in the first three quarters of 2025.
High Tide operates 215 cannabis retail locations in Canada and describes Canna Cabana as the largest cannabis retail chain in the country, holding approximately 12% market share. The company also owns multiple e-commerce platforms selling accessories and hemp-derived CBD products.
