Newly released August sales data from Statistics Canada shows another strong increase in monthly retail revenues. August sales settled at C$245M, up C$12.2M from July and C$119M year-over-year. Cannabis Benchmarks sales projections indicate that total retail sales of legal cannabis in Canada will reach C$2.93B this year.
Average daily sales increased in every province in August, with Ontario leading the way on this front. Cannabis Benchmarks estimates that 22,141 kg of dry cannabis was sold nationwide in August, with Ontario the leader in this category as well, followed by Alberta.
