Europe's largest medical market, transformed by the 2024 MedCanG reform — and adult possession now legal.
Germany is Europe's largest medical cannabis market. The MedCanG law of 1 April 2024 removed cannabis from the narcotics list, cutting bureaucracy and driving rapid growth across importers, pharmacies and telemedicine clinics. The same CanG reform legalised adult possession and home cultivation, with non-profit cannabis associations now supplying members, while commercial supply pilots remain unrealised.
